Attendance and Absence Policy
At Qur’an Arabic Academy, we are committed to ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of the educational process and helping our students achieve the highest possible level of proficiency and progress. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to achieving these goals and maintaining a consistent learning experience.
At the same time, we highly value and respect our teachers’ time, as it is one of the most important elements in maintaining the quality of our educational services.
Therefore, we kindly ask our students and respected parents/guardians to read and adhere to the following attendance and absence policy:
First: Commitment to Class Schedules
Students are expected to attend their classes at the scheduled time agreed upon with the teacher or the academy.
Students are kindly requested to join their classes on time to benefit fully from the lesson and to respect the teacher’s schedule.
Second: Postponing or Suspending Classes
Students may request to postpone or suspend their classes for one or two weeks when necessary, such as during exams, travel, relocation, or other circumstances.
Students are kindly requested to inform the teacher or academy administration in advance of the requested suspension period to ensure proper schedule management.
Third: Last-Minute Cancellation or Failure to Attend
If a student cancels a class unexpectedly or fails to join at the scheduled time without prior notice, the class will not be counted against the student on the first occurrence only during the month, and the missed class will be made up.
If a last-minute cancellation or failure to attend occurs again during the same month, the class will be counted and deducted from the student’s monthly class allowance.
Fourth: Advance Cancellation
If a student has a circumstance that prevents them from attending a scheduled class, they may request to be excused, provided that the teacher or academy administration is notified at least 6 hours before the scheduled class.
Advance cancellation is permitted once per month at most, and the class will not be counted against the student.
If advance cancellation occurs more than once during the same month, the class will be counted and deducted from the student’s monthly class allowance.
Fifth: Absence
Students are expected to maintain regular attendance, and absence is only permitted in cases of unavoidable circumstances or valid reasons.
We kindly ask everyone to respect the scheduled class times and notify the academy as early as possible when an issue arises, out of respect for the teacher’s time and to ensure the smooth continuation of the educational process.
Our Message to You
At Qur’an Arabic Academy, we believe that consistency and regular attendance are the foundation of success in memorizing the Holy Qur’an and mastering Qur’anic recitation and Tajweed.
Therefore, this policy has been established first and foremost for the benefit of the student, to organize the educational process, and to ensure the best possible use of both the student’s and teacher’s time.
May Allah bless your time and make the Holy Qur’an the source of light and guidance in your hearts.
